For this special project by Vieyra Estudio for Design House Mexico 2020, we play with shadows and lights, geometry of the surfaces, a monochrome palette, the reflections of the water, and natural and artificial light.

Together, it creates an atmosphere of inexplicable harmony. Each of these factors seeks to create an everyday beauty for everyone who contemplates this sublime space.

The experience of the sublime consists in a feeling of the superiority of our own power of reason.

It is that extreme beauty of generating in those who contemplate the sublime fact, a fascination that goes beyond. Here, Vieyra Estudio captures the project’s theme with grace, creating a sense of flow and movement alongside stillness and solitude. It’s a stunning example of how one can incorporate sculpture and space for contemplation into homes and workspaces.
