For this Design Week Mexico exhibition, we sought to create an outdoor space that still feels defined.

By embracing the existing natural landscape, a large central tree anchors the project—serving simultaneously as a natural pergola. Working with the tree was essential to establish a dialogue between the furniture and the surrounding landscape.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The flooring extends outward around the garden, creating a seamless connection with the exterior. The space is not only a comfortable gathering spot, but also a peaceful place for quiet contemplation—where one can recline on a pouf and gaze at the stars.

A complementary pavilion plays with light and shadow, forming a space that embraces the outdoors while still feeling enclosed and intentional.

With a conscious approach to materials, all the wood used in the project was reclaimed. From its material expression to the central character of the tree, the project invites us to reflect on authenticity and the way we connect to our environment.

 

 

The intervention by Vieyra Estudio employs a play of light and shadow to emphasize the transparent and ephemeral quality of the architecture, evoking an aesthetic emotion rooted in spatial function.
